3-23-78: Dan Reilly and Joe Mando visit lot no. 26 for further site evaluations
(house is already up with no improvements permit issued). Observed holes
bored by D. Reilly earlier. Water had risen in the holes on the lower
part of rear yard. Pond is located several yards away from the rear yd.,
thus a 2mm high water was observed. For these reasons the lower rear yd.
was classified as unsuitable for a ground absorption sewage disposal sys.
4-12-78: Joe Mando and Buck Hall met with Mr. Monroe Whitt of Carolina Custom Blds.
on lot no. 26. Point out to Mr. Whitt that no improvements permit was issued
but the house was started anyway. Explained all our findings to Mr. Whitt
and suggested that possibitlity might be to set the septic tank in the upper
left rear yd. and run the lines beside the house and in the.better area in khgxse
the rear yard, with all lines coming out from a distribution box. The sys.
would have to be kept as shallow as ps possible with a max. of 18" of rock.
Also sxpax explained the possibility of using a lift station and changing the
pimh plumbing to the front yard.
Instructed Mr. Whitt to have the septic tank contractor notify the Health Dept.
when he was going to the lot and we would met him there. Also told Mr. Whitt
that a representative from Carolina Custom Blds. would be expected at the site
to fully understand any and all changes that would pox be needed in order to
install a septic tank system that would be reasonably assured of functioning
properly.
Told Mr. Whitt to explain to S.T. contractor that 2001x31x18"rock
would be required.
After all changes that are necessary are made the Davie County Health Dept.
would then issue an improvements for lot n2 no. 269 Bermuba Run.
