old timers of that day, got a good
laugh over the incident.
There was a good farmer, who
lived out Jericho way. I will ’call
him Joe Joakes, for that was. not
his name. Joe would' sometimes

was ready to so home. One Sat
urday morning he came to town
and left his team and wagon at
the blacksmith shop of Terry Hel-
lard, and instructed Terrv to cut

but before he had finished he was
called to dinner. Iii the mean

it is too profound for us to fathom

desire for close and closer shar

Ufe’s end. But his prayers were
an expression of that harmony.

Room Economics girls gave their
yearly Fashion ShowJ The result
of much planning, selecting and
sewing were shown by these ha»
dy young misses. The first year
girls showed off their cotton a-
prons, the second year girls mod
eled wool skirts and cotton blous
es, and the third year girls their
wool suits. As each giri came on
stage Barbara Wright announced
the color, material and price. Sev
eral viaitors attended and were
served refreshmients after the pro
gram.
Friday night Fi^rminglon played
host to Cleveland and both gemea
were lost by only 3 points each,
tlie girls' game 3134. and the boys
game 29-32. For the girls Carolyn
Boger and Camilla ]a.vis led the
scoring with 15 and 12 points.

Panthers" from Couitney came to
Farmington. Our girls bowed to
Couitney after a hard game that
really kept both teams , (and spec-
tatoia) on their toea throughout
the whole game The final score

42. Carolyn Boger led the tcot^
ing with 16 poi.its and Camilla
Jarvis, a close second, had 13.
Good playing,-girls, keep it up.

good old Christmas spirit in their
hearu and old familiar carols ring
ing forth from their lips. After
