Route 4,.Mocksville died at 6;05 p.m.Saturday at Britt-Haven .Nursing Home in Wilkesboro. He had been in declining health for a year and seriously ill several days.The funeral was held Tuesday at Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don R. Safrit. pastor of Christiana Lutheran Church, of ficiating. Burial was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Salisbury.Born August 25, 1901, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Henry .M,C. and Esther Bamhardt Fisher. The life we commemorated heretoday is Carl, the son of Enos M. andRebecca Ellis James horn August27.1901 in Wadesboro. N .C. (^rl was the fourth child of five and one offour Isiys. Carl was a hard working, Christian family man On December 10. 1921, Carl and Emily Spry weremarriage. God gave them more than 49 years ofhappiness together. He served as deacon and taught the Mcns Bible Class for years. Carl's "brickwork" is well known in the area since he has built many homes and churches in Davie and surrounding counties. He w«it to Winston-Salem in 1928.Mr. Harpe retired from General Builders Supply in 1968.He was an avid sportsman and a member of Wootlman of the World.Mr. Harpe was a memtier of New Philadelphia Moravian Church. On Jan. 22. 1922. he was married to Stella Jane White who preceded him in death on March 2. 1964.In 1965 he married Adria E.
