Many church minutes have been transcribed into books. In addition, numerous histories have been written for Baptist associations and churches that are available in book form. 3) Baptist Associations — Contact the headquarters of the Baptist Association which the church you are researching was a member of. These associations are a repository for their historical records and are generally very helpful to the researcher. 4) Contact the church and meet with the pastor or historian! While Wake Forest has an enormous amount of records, they do not have all available information for every church. Many churches have records and written histories they are happy to share with researchers.
