v� 1820 - Joseph McCulloch, Serjeant - no heirs. Warrant to issue to Col.
Thomas Henderson, the agent of the Univ. of N. C. Mr. Moore McCulloch
an heir, is yet living, & the Commrs. are in error.
1820 - Caswell Co. - Dep. of Peter Smith re; Joseph McCullers, a "Sar.
jeant" (Sarjeant and Serjeant in those days; now, Sergeant & Serjeant)
in Contl. Line of N. C. Smith believes M eCullers was a Scotchman by
birth, but at all events a foreigner, & believes left no family in this
country.
1820 .. Orange Co. - Dep. of James Gibson re: that 2 years ago he was
apptd. by Robert McCul ler of sd Co. to draw a deed of conveyance from
himself to his children from Bounty land given to his brother Joseph
McCulley for Rev. service, for 640 acres. He believes Robert was a bro.
ther & heir of Josephm & that Moor McCuller is son & heir of Robert,
also his Exr.

1820 -- Wake Co. -- Dep. of George Cole re: Cornelius Rumer, who "emigra-
ted from some of the extreme Northern States to No. Carolina," & enlisted
in N. C. Line, Contl. Army, & marched to Valley Forge, where he died, &
had no family or relations in this part of the country.
1820 - Wake Co. - Dep. of George Cole re: John Beal, of N. C. Contl.
Army, a native of Portugal, & died at Valley Forge, under Washington,
leaving no heirs or relatives in this country. This dep. served upwards
of 3 years as a soldier in N. C. Line of the Contl. Army.
1820 - Wake Co. - Dep. of George Cole re: James Verrier (who frequently
acted as Adjutant) with whom he was acquainted in April 1776 when he be-
longed or was attached to Capt. Key's Co., afterwards Vail' s Co. of the
2nd Regt., N. C. Contl, Army. To Valley Forge & West Point. Taken pri.
soner at the Fall of Charleston, 12 May 1780, & was in our Army upwards
of 4 years. Was a Scotchman by birth, near 40 years of age, & had no
family or relations in this country.
1820 - Wake Co. - Dep. of George Cole re: being acquainted with John
Eastmead in Wake Co. before the Rev. War, who was a soldier in Contl.
Line of N. C. Believes he died in the hospital at Wilmington, N. C.
Aged c40, without any family or relations in this part of the world,
& came from some foreign parts.
1820 - Caswell Co. - Dep. of Peter Smith re: Wm Flinn a soldier in N.
C. Contl. Line in Rev. War. An Irishman by birth, & had no family in
this country.
1820 - Orange Co. -• Dep. of Charles Wood re: John Miller, an Englishman,
a British deserter, who died in service, probably left no heirs. Also,
re: Jacob Norton, a man of colour, who died in service, & left no heirs.
Also re: Jesse Night who enlisted while our Army was in the Northern
States, & never came o::i to N. C., & has no heirs in this part of the
country, if he has any at all. Also re: Jesse Parker, "a Bastard son
of old Moore," a serjeant, who "moved to foreign parts."
