Dear Michaela
Note from the enclosures that I ,hve been busy,, and not just

To start, there is a first peek at my John Boone chronology,
beginning with the Quaker marriage of his parents and up to the
court -approved, 1806 settlement of his estate after his death in
1803. I keep my items on 4X6 cards# and xeroxed them "as is" so
the heading on the cards appears often* As far as I know, this
lists all that can be documented for John Boone of Hunting Creek.
Also enclosed is my listing of the children (known technically
as "issue") of Morgan (Sr) and Martha [Strode] Bryan* Listed is a
daughter named Rebecca who married gu,r John Boone# in this I am
conforming to local traditions there is no documentation.
And I enclose the recent Associated Press story by Thomas S
Watson# which confirms what I've heard for many years:- Daniel's
body remains where it was buried in 1820 » in the Bryan Family
Cemetery outside of Marthasville, Missouri*
Knowing next to nothing about Howard and Elizabeth [Floyd]

Boone!- see enclosed photos oftheir..Texas tombstones - I was most
pleased to receive a copy of the 1860 U S Census for the Richland
Township in Arkarm4as -► listing them with their - children & And it
does seem that my Grandfather Lacy Boone9 -P had the initials J and
P as plart of, his name. Joseph Patrick or Jefferson Proudfoot or
what? He never used these extra names when he grew up. Your Uncle
George .. now the oldest surviving Boone descendant in our line so
had never heard of these initials# or the early move to Arkansas.
.,
I had b Neve that the move to Arkansas was post -Civil War, now
this document establishes the move as pre»Civil War, and we can
.
figure that the move came after the 18 0 Bedford Count Tennessee

More than once I have told these Carolinians that I'm not up
to 1820 in may research, and thus am not yet interested in anything
that happened after 1820. The omissions in the enclosed listings
result from this personal preocupation.
.I have sent Mrs Deborah Hinckley my John Boone Chronol.ogyq
together with.xerox copies of all the John Boone documents that
I've been able to locate, and now I'm informed that she would like
(pronto) my list for Lacy Boone9 and his 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th
(and loth?) generation descendants this while I'm still stuck
back there before 1820:
Here are copies of list/charts I've prepared and sent to her•
plus the Boone"Delhomme Hereford list which stopped as I prepared
to type your name•.o what d_ oes the G stand for? .And would you
please complete this list with full names ( even including your
father?) List your offspring/issue and both of your sister's
marriages and then send it back to me. Mrs Hinckley is organizing
to publish a book on the "unknown" John Boone and his -many des-
cendants including thee and me and everyone else that she can now
locate. Her connection is William Boone9 younger brother of Lacy
Boone9 w so it's George''.2 0 Ben jamin4 Johns Benjamin 6 William?
Howard and Lacy9-PWilliam9, and we are first cousins, twice(?)
removed.
Mrs Hinckley is (naturally) a DAR and it seems the DAR has
"authenticated" John Boone5 as a contributor/supporter of the
North Carolina Revolutionary effort, Benjamin Boone6 as a soldier
in the North Carolina State Militia during the Revolutionary War,
and EVEN John Wilson Sr ( also a soldier) whose daughter Mary Wilson
married Benjamin Boone -v thrice blessed?
I'm also involved in still another digression - the 250th
Anniversary of Daniel Boone's birth « 22 October 1734. There is
a Davie County Committee to devise a commemorative envent for 1984.
My own favorite idea is a turkey shoot with Daniel Boone style
