Mrs. Sallie Floyd, aged 92 years, died at her home
near Flat Creek last Sunday night. Elder John Frost
conducted services. She was born in South Carolina.
She had lived in Bedford County since 1807.
A member of the Primitive Baptist Church for 60
years. Her son Col. W. W. Floyd was a Confederate
Soldier and was killed during the War. She is also
the mother of Elder J. D. Floyd.
